The club is run by committee which meets on a regular basis. In addition other roles, who report to the main committee, are appointed as necessary. Current post holders are:

All committee members and additional post holders are voluntary and unpaid. We will endeavour to respond to any messages as quickly as possible but most have other occupations which prevent an immediate reply - please bear this in mind!

 

CMO Bowmen welcome new members and individuals who would like to take up archery. Our head coach, Mrs Gerry Drew, is a GNAS (Grand National Archery Society) approved coach with over 30 years of archery experience.

 

We periodically run archery taster days and full archery courses. Places on these courses are in demand so if you are interested please complete the contact form so we can advise you of the dates of the next course with spaces. Instruction Course Fees

Adults - £ 40.00

Juniors (aged 15-17yrs) - £ 25.00

Juniors (aged 10-14yrs) - £ 20.00

If you are an experienced archer or have recently completed a GNAS approved course of instruction and would like to join CMO Bowmen please complete the contact form and we will contact you with the necessary paperwork. Our current annual fees (2007/8 Season) which include affiliation fees to the main and regional archery governing bodies together with public liability insurance are:

Senior Club Rates

Adults (aged 18 - 59yrs inclusive)- £ 72.00

Seniors (aged 60yrs and above) - £ 52.00

Juniors (under 18)- £ 32.00

Family Membership* - Junior rate reduced to £ 5.00

* At least 1 parent must be a fully paid up member of

CMO Bowmen Senior Club for reduced Junior's fee to apply.

 

Junior Club Rates*

Juniors - £ 20.00 + session attendance fee

* Shooting limited to weekly, supervised sessions only

(summer months) - Equipment supplied for up to 6wks.

 

CMO Bowmen is an archery club located in Pampisford Road, South Croydon (click here for a map). and have been in existence since 1961. We currently have about 80 members, shooting target archery, with recurve, compound and longbow archers (sorry no crossbows) of mixed ability from beginner to county standard.

 

Sunday afternoon is the main day for shooting all year. Instruction and practice takes place on Saturday mornings all year round. Disabled Archers may shoot on Saturdays from May to September. Club practice night is on a Wednesday. During the Winter we normally have indoor facilities at one of the local schools.

Club Structure

 

No green fees are charged to archers (senior or junior) who have their own equipment and have paid a full membership. Juniors (under 18) are not allowed to shoot without senior members being present. Indoor shooting and tournaments are extra if you participate.
